,0 PeterMills 2008-02-26 18:02:16 2.5cc Funstunt and Combat Practice (17/2/08) With a bit of wind around, the Funstunt was always going to be a bit exciting. Noel Corney topped the points list with an immaculate display that seemed immune from the wind, whilst others made a passing attempt at the stunt pattern while they were trying to stay airoborne. Peter Mills took the crash of the day with a full power dive into the rain soaked ground after losing line tension, leaving the nose of the model buried up to the leading edge. There were a few just itching to get the stunt over so that they could practice some F2D combat. Some was practice and some was fairly serious combat. Several F2D models were written off (so much for "practice"), and Peter Krenske managed to attack the concrete centre circle after a mid-air, resulting in a rather unhealthy-feeling Fora engine. We never got around to the intended free-style stunt event, given that this seemed to be already covered adequately by the ungainly, wind-affected, flying techniques in the main stunt event ;-)
