Objectives

• super robust wing, like a Battlewing
• slightly lighter than Battlewing (which is 10oz)
• no winglets or fins (like the Assassin)

Core Dimensions

• core-only weight = 83g
• max thickness at root chord = 41mm, tip thickness = 23mm
• wingspan = 760mm
• plan shape (no ailerons): root chord = 240mm, tip chord = 114, LE rake = 230
• TE thickness = ~9mm
• wing area (without ailerons) = 13.45 dm, with 50mm ailerons 18.0 dm (279 sq.in.)

Original Battlewing specs

• 10oz = 284g
• 25g motor (HK T2730-3000), 3000Kv, ~80W, 400g thrust
• 9g servos, 1000mAh 2S battery

Proposed Design

• 221g AUW with battery (~8oz)
• wing+reinforcement+ailerons+motor mount = 83+7+10+5 = 105g
• motor = 24g (7.4V x 6.8A = 38W, 280g thrust)
• ESC = 6g
• RX = 4g
• 2 x 9g servo = 20g
• battery 2S 500mAh = 62g

• Wing rake angle of Battlewing core is slightly sharper than Assassin
• Root chord of Battlewing is proportionally larger than Assassin, resulting in tip-cutoff LE to be still within the root chord, whereas Assassin has it at motor/prop location (further back = more stability).
